Quickstart
Add your domain, check your questions, connect Search Console and your hosting logs, then read your first actions. About 15 minutes.
This guide takes about 15 minutes. Steps 1 to 3 give you AI answers. Steps 4 to 6 add the data that makes the actions precise.
Create your account
Go to app.sommet.dev/register. The free trial lasts 7 days, covers one domain and needs no credit card. Sign up with a work email and Sommet fills in your domain for you.
Add your domain
Enter the domain of your site, for example example.com. Sommet reads your public homepage and /about page. It detects the language of the site and writes the questions your buyers ask AI assistants.
If Sommet cannot read the homepage, check that it is public and returns HTML without a login or a bot challenge. Then select Retry.
Check your questions
Read every question before the first collection. Rewrite a question that does not sound like a buyer. Remove a question about a market you do not sell to. Add the questions your sales team hears.
See Write good questions for the rules.
Connect Google Search Console
Open Settings → Search data and select Connect next to Google. Approve read-only access and choose the property for your domain.
Without search data, Sommet can still show the searches AI assistants ran. With it, Sommet also shows where your pages rank for each search and adds Google fixes. See Google Search Console.
Connect your hosting logs
Open Settings → AI bot visits. Sommet detects where your site runs and selects Cloudflare, Vercel or a log drain. Follow the guide for your host:
Read your first actions
The first answers arrive within a few minutes. Open Actions once they are all in. Start with the first action: Sommet lists the most useful first.
See Act on your actions.
What happens next
- Every week, on the day you pick on the Questions page, Sommet asks each question again on ChatGPT and Gemini and updates your mention rate.
- Every day, Sommet runs a search audit on each connected Search Console or Bing property.
- After each weekly run, the recap email gives you one number, its change and one action.
