title: Your weekly routine
description: A 30-minute routine for every week, after the recap email. Read the trend, read the answers that missed you, then ship one action.
---

Answers change every week. A short routine after each recap email beats a long audit every quarter.

1. **Read the number (2 minutes)**

Open the recap email or the overview. Look at the mention rate and its eight-week trend. Do not
react to one week. React to three weeks in the same direction.

2. **Read two answers that missed you (5 minutes)**

Open **Answers** and filter the ones that do not name you. Note who they name and which sources
    they cite.

3. **Check the bots (1 minute)**

If a bot drops to zero, run the [technical checklist](/docs/improve/technical-checklist) before
    anything else.

4. **Ship one action (20 minutes)**

Open **Actions** and take the first one. Send the listing email, change the title, or start the
page. Mark it done when it is live.

5. **Check the results (2 minutes)**

Look at the **Done** section. Keep what works. If a type of change keeps failing, stop doing it.

## Do it from your assistant

With the [MCP server](/docs/mcp) connected, ask your assistant to prepare the review:

**Run the **weekly review** from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor.**

> Use the Sommet tools. For my workspace [domain]:
>
> 1. Get the visibility overview for the last 4 weeks and tell me if the mention rate moved in the same direction for 3 weeks.
> 2. List the AI answers of this week that do not mention my site. Summarize who they name instead.
> 3. Get the AI bot traffic and flag any assistant with zero visits.
> 4. List the recommended actions and pick the one with the most value for 20 minutes of work. Explain why.
>
> Keep it under 200 words. Cite the numbers you used.
