title: Act on your actions
description: The three kinds of actions Sommet lists, what each one asks you to do on your site or on the web, and how Sommet measures the result.
---

The **Actions** page lists what to change, the most useful first. Every action shows the evidence behind it: the answers, the searches, the cited pages or the Search Console rows. Actions appear after each weekly collection and each search audit.

Pick one action, ship it, mark it done, and move to the next one. Three actions shipped beat twenty read.

## Get found by AI assistants

**What it shows.** A search an AI assistant ran to answer one of your questions, in answers that did not name you. For example: ChatGPT searched `best invoice tracking software for agencies` for 6 answers that missed you.

With Search Console connected, Sommet adds your Google position for that search:

| Sommet says | What to do |
| -------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| "/pricing ranks 14 on Google for …" | Improve that page. Make it answer the search directly in its title, its H1 and its first paragraph. |
| "Your site gets 230 impressions for …" | A page shows up, but low. Find it in Search Console and improve it the same way. |
| "No page of yours shows up for it" | Write a page that answers the search. Link to it from your main pages. |

**How to write the page.**

1. Open **Questions behind it**, follow **Read the answers** and read two or three of the answers that missed you.
2. List what those answers say and which brands they name. Your page must cover the same points, with your own facts.
3. Put the answer first. A buyer and an assistant must find it in the first 100 words.
4. Add what a list cannot: your prices, your limits, who the product is not for, a real example.
5. If the search contains "best" or a year, write an honest comparison that lists the alternatives, you included.

:::tip
Use the [page prompt](/docs/prompts/set-up-your-site#write-a-page-for-a-search) with your coding agent. It takes the search, the answers and your current page, and drafts the change.

## Get listed where AI looks

**What it shows.** A third-party page that assistants cite in at least two answers that name a competitor and not you. For example: a "Best invoice tools in 2026" article on a blog that ChatGPT cited in 4 answers next to two of your competitors.

This is often the action with the most value. The cited page is literally what the assistant reads.

**What to do.**

1. Open the page. Check that it is a list, a review or a comparison where your product fits.
2. Copy the outreach email. Sommet drafts it from the page and the answers.
3. Fill in the parts in brackets with a real reason to add you: a feature the list cares about, a price, a customer in their audience.
4. Send it yourself, from your own address, to a contact the site shows publicly.

Do not offer money for a link, and do not send the same email to fifty sites. A short, personal email gets answers. A template gets ignored.

## Fix on Google

**What it shows.** Queries from your latest Search Console audit where a small change can bring more clicks. Your plan sets how many new fixes appear each week: 3 on Starter, 5 on Growth.

| Fix                       | Trigger                                                                       | What to do                                                                                                                                 |
| ------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Rewrite the search result | Position 10 or better, click-through rate under 2 %, at least 100 impressions | Rewrite the title and meta description of the page around the query. Put the benefit and a number in the first 60 characters of the title. |
| Move to page one | Position 11 to 20, at least 100 impressions | Expand the section that answers the query. Add internal links to the page from related pages, with descriptive anchor text. |

Select **Copy a prompt** on a fix to get a ready-made prompt. It holds the page, the search, the Google figures, the page's other searches, who ranks ahead of you and whether Google shows an AI Overview. Paste it in your own AI tool to rewrite or extend the page, then check the result before you publish.

Select **Done** when the change is live, or **Dismiss** when the fix does not apply. An assistant connected to the [MCP server](/docs/mcp/tools#update_action_status) can also set the status for you.

## Done: check the result

A change counts only once Google has read the page again. With Google Search Console connected, Sommet inspects the page of each done fix once a day for a month, with Google's URL Inspection, and shows one of these:

| Shown | What it means | What to do |
| ---------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Google has not read the page since your change | Google's last visit is older than your change | Select **Request indexing**, then **Request indexing** again in Search Console. |
| Google read the page on Sep 12 | Google read the changed page and indexes it | Nothing. Wait for the measure. |
| Not indexed: Excluded by ‘noindex’ tag | Google does not show the page in search results | Select **See why**. Fix the reason Google gives first: no other change helps until it is fixed. |

Then Sommet compares each done fix with the first full 28-day audit that starts after you marked it done. That takes about a month. Then the action shows the change:

```txt
Clicks 12 → 31 · Position 8.4 → 5.1
```

- **Wait for the measure.** Rankings move for several weeks after a change. Do not undo a change after a few bad days.
- **Change one thing per page at a time.** Two changes on the same page in the same month make the result impossible to read.
- **Undo** puts a fix back in the list if you marked it done by mistake.
